Ever since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, people have been antsy to leave their homes. With marginalized groups and poor people being affected even harder by the virus, charities are overloaded with work to do. Though we may not be able to volunteer in person, there are still countless ways to help others and feel good about using your time in quarantine. This video illustrates 10 ways to volunteer from the comfort of your own home.

A huge need for charities is often translation material. If you speak two or more languages, simply doing translations or teaching a language from home are two excellent ways to help those who don’t know English.

Many tax deductible charities have incorporated apps and easy volunteering methods into their systems. For example, you can volunteer at a crisis text line, and respond to people in crisis after a virtual training. Additionally, you can assist the elderly or blind people with their daily tasks just by talking to them! So many cool options are out there for volunteering at home, so be sure to check out your local charity and what you can do help those hit hardest by the virus.
